In Card Thief you move through a deck of cards as a stealthy thief. Sneak in the shadows, extinguish torches, pickpocket guards and steal valuable treasures without getting caught.
Card Thief, the official follow up to Tinytouchtales excellent dungeon crawler Card Crawl, attempts to condense the classic stealth genre into a solitaire style card game.
The game offers an accessible core gameplay with a deep layer of tactical planning and various risk reward mechanics on top. In 4 different heists you can test your skills against various enemy and trap types. By successfully completing heists you can unlock and upgrade 12 equipment cards each with a unique ability to improve your highscores.

Stealth fans, you’re in for a treat. We’re truly impressed by how intense it is to loot castles in this beautiful, solitaire-style game. Mastering just when to grab treasure and avoid guards takes a while, so doing it right feels terrific. Fun fact: Tinytouchtales cites the game Thief: The Dark Project as a key inspiration—and they really did capture the vibe of that classic sneak-fest.

Top text blocked by notch, path difficulty not visible. I hope it gets fixed because i like the game.
Worth the money but needs fixing
- Crashes on daily heist with no internet connection.
- Sometimes crashes during contract heists.
- UI is inconsistent. On some screens there are “hidden” buttons with no labels. It took me a while to figure out I can go to the map from the guild master or I can picklock from the score screen. Guild master screen reuires scrolling but inside the hideout there are buttons to scroll between contracts.
- Not all rules are explained. Sometimes I get jailed with negative stealth points sometimes not. There must be some rule I haven’t figured out yet.
- I could get -1 on a sneak card by canceling a path with an activated trap that increases neighboring card values. Restarting the game correctly set the card to 0.
- Equipment upgrade “quests” would be nice to be visible from ingame without requiring me to memorize all.
- Equipment selector screen looks strange with all those cards barely visible and the left card disappearing. After I get used to it it was OK though.
- Are those loading screens necessary?
- Stolen goods from contracts seems to appear nowhere.
